Thanksgiving provides a chance to realize the many blessings in our lives. But why wait for one day a year to express your gratitude?

In her best-selling book, "Simple Abundance, A Daybook of Comfort and Joy," author Sarah Ban Breathnach recommends keeping a "gratitude journal." It's simply a blank book where you write down five things you can be grateful about that day. As Sarah says, "Real life isn't always going to be perfect or go our way, but the recurring acknowledgment of what is working in our lives can help us not only survive, but surmount our difficulties."
